Die unermessliche Weite der Steppen, das sanfte Hügelland, bizarre Felsenlandschaften, hohe Wanderdünen, fruchtbare Flusstäler und faszinierende Landschaften. Die geschäftige Hauptstadt Ulaanbaatar bildet einen aufregenden Kontrast und wird manchen in ihrer Vielfalt überraschen. Bei Gesprächen mit den einheimischen Gastgebern lernen Sie viel über das Land und die Menschen kennen. Mit der neuen Veranstaltungsreihe finden Sie interessante Gespräche mit Gästen und der Gastgeber. Ein Austausch der Kulturen und der zeitgenössischen Kunst in der Mongolei.

Program ART CAMP 2009 in der Mongolei:
BLUE SUN Mongolian contemporary art center implements its annual ART CAMP International Art festival with a concept to organize a short-term residency travel in the historical and cultural sites of Mongolia. The art camp aims to serve as a space to introduce Land art and any other contemporary art works, to organize a joint exhibition of the works by participants, work shop and round-table discussion for artists to exchange knowledge, skills and experience.
The very first ART CAMP-2004 was held in 2004 as a joint program of Swedish-Mongolian artists. The program included Space Art, Land Art, exchanging art and supported cultural diversity, partnership and cooperation between the artists of the two countries. The Art Camp-2005 engaged artists from Sweden, Mongolia, Great Britain and Japan. The program was supported by the Swedish Institute and the Soil Society.

The ARTCAMP-2006 and 2007 programs were expanded its cooperation with the participation of artists from Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Island and Canada and the cooperation of Mongolian and European artists started successfully. In the ARTCAMP -2008 program was held in UMEA, BULDMUSEET, HARNOSAND and MURBERGED in Sweden upon the initiative of the Soil Society as an arts and culture exchange program.
Also within the ARTCAMP-2008 program, the ART EXCURSION of artists from Finland, Canada, Mongolia and Austria was held in autumn. The artists travelled to Arkhangai province, organized a joint exhibition and held a workshop at the BLUE SUN Art Gallery and XANADU Art Gallery. Descriptive about program Naadam is a National traditional festival of Mongolia, meaning the Three Manly Games or Eriin Gurvan Naadam. The games include Mongolian wrestling, horses racing and archery. It's the biggest festival held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, to celebrate the anniversary of People's Revolution in 1921 and the ancient tradition of the Mongols during July 11th-13th.

The Mongolian National Fine Arts Museum named after Zanabazar is popularly known as the Zanabazar Museum and was founded in 1966. The museum was established with a mission to collect, preserve and display the traditional fine arts of Mongolia ansd serves as the most important arts institution.
Zanabazar was one of the greatest lamas in Mongolian history, the first Buddhist leader of 17th century and certainly one of the greatest artists and many of his original works on display in this museum. The mountain Undur Ulaan is located 60km east from Ulaanbaatar at Erdene soum of Tuv province and 4km from Chingis Khaan statue Complex. This mountain is located 1700m above sea level. The BLUE SUN center started organizing its annual ARTCAMP-LANDART program in this area since 2005 on the regular contract basis. Bayanhongor province is situated in the South –Western part of Mongolia, and covers the high plateau of the South khangai mountains, South-Eastern highland of Gobi-Altai range, the middle part of depression of the lakes of western Mongolia, and the main part of Trans –Altai desert.
